Invisible letters to Max 1/12
This is my new art project. It all started with my friend Max, who is something like my male muse, he told me, if he could afford it, he would buy one of my collage books every month.
So I invented this as an art project. He will get the mini books, one every month and I will send him hunting for new material all over Cologne (unfortunately he does not live in Cornwall).
So what you see here is the first of twelve, there will be one "invisible letter" every month.
Thank you Max for inspiring me!

Online Anniversary: A message to my readers
LaWendula MP3
I hope you don't find my English too annoying, it's the first time I have ever done this and not the best sound quality too, but it comes straight from the heart. Thanks for listening!

Stagger
This is a small book, I've made in 1990, using a story I have written in 1989.
"Taumel" means "stagger".
It's about a young woman who loves to walk on roofs at night and has the dream to spread her wings and fly on day. There is a man she knows, who told her he had tried and it just worked out fine. But she does not dare to do it. When she has nearly given up, he suddenly appears on the roof from his nightflight, lands near her, takes her hand and together they fly into the night.
I have used Gouache colors and colored ink for this book. It's written on white paper. Then I went to the copy shop and made inverted copies of it, so the white turns into black and gives this book the night flair I wanted to have in it.
And the light green ink I used, turning into red...
I have found it today in an old box under my bed.

From here to
You won’t be able to keep the light
The season’s tilt over to fall
The blue sky, soon past.
Another lonely autumn, another lonely winter.
But better this than been chased, knowing, it’s wrong,
cramped in places you do not belong,
the assimilation to normality
for what?
Here however the free spirit is breathing.
All is possible,
Forever my from-here-to-place.

Stack of Mini Books
Talking about stacks, do you remember Seth's post from a few days ago?
I have made 23 Collage Mini books by now!
Here are some of them:
The others have travelled round the world, some are in France, one in England, one in NYC, one in the Netherlands.
And some in Germany.
Don't know when this phase will end, but no end in sight by now. So I am busy again.
Here is the latest one. It's called "Dissolution".

Three Postcards
I started to make some postcards.
On the backside is some lettering, I am using it all the time. It's soothing to do that.

Never hide away from art!
The titel above is the one for this mosaic I was making for the Mosaic Monday Flickr group. (Please click on pic for credits)
No I am not hiding from art. I'm swimming right through to the other side. (what und where ever that may be)
I am totally fascinated by Mail/Postal art.
This leads me to my latest art project: "Invisible letters to Max".
I have started, but I will show this not today, but in 3 weeks, by the end of October.
Meanwhile take a sneak-peek.
